11th April 2025: GLADIATOR II (2024)
Rated 15 (ACTION EPIC)
After his North African home is conquered by the tyrannical twin emperors who now lead Rome, Lucius
(Paul Mescal) is forced to enter the Colosseum as a gladiator under the control of Macrinus (Denzel
Washington). He must look to his past to find strength to return the glory of Rome to its people.
“What could have been a ponderous, predictable sequel to a much-loved Oscar winner instead turns out to be a
fun romp. However Gladiator II fares this awards season, it’s a hell of a ride.” Empire
“Scott’s return to the Roman arena is something of a repeat, but it’s still a thrilling spectacle and Mescal a
formidable lead. We are entertained.” The Guardian.
